You know this is a time when nobody really ever really kind of tells the truth about what they plan to do. I certainly would never deceive you in anything that I told you, so rather than deceive you I would just rather not tell you certain things.
Understanding how important slotting is to top draft picks in terms of who got what . . . and how they fall into place, this is really a timing issue,
We didn't do what we needed to do to get a stop. We have to do a better job as coaches getting our players ready so we have a better chance to be successful in those situations and we have to be more consistent in the way we perform.
We are going to try to get him to be able to come back in the best possible condition and the best game readiness he can be in.
We have an idea of how we're going to use (Williams), but we don't have an idea of how much we're going to use him.
We have an idea of how we're going to use him, but we don't have an idea of where he is in terms of how much we'll use him. There's a difference. You try to bring players back role-wise without putting them at risk for injury.
We need to improve our ability to play with discipline, especially on the road, especially in the beginning of games, ... That put us behind the 8-ball.
We have voids at linebacker and safety. We could use a more few defensive linemen.
We'd like for everybody on the team that dresses to have some kind of role in the game,
We are not in the playoffs, but it was not all in vain. This group was a team for the last six weeks of the season, for sure.
We are not disappointed in Ronnie Brown. As I said before, expectations always create frustration and a lot of anxiety, which doesn't necessarily help a guy's performance.
Where do we go from here? I think it's important that everybody's responsible for what they can do to make this better. I certainly will be, in terms of my part of it. What we're focused on is how we improve as a team, how we learn from the experience that we had here to day, and how we stay together as a team.
You'd like to put yourself in a position, if you have a flexibility to do it, to take a particular player that you'd like to get. Obviously if you have multiple draft picks, that gives you a little bit more flexibility. That's not a luxury that we have right now.
We don't have to have a reason to bring anybody in. Sometimes, you have to gather information (in case) we need to.
