cocky last rub year
When you're world champions, you (can) be cocky or try to rub it in their face. It's nice. You have the ring, you have the trophy. I always said last year, 'We're not that good.' This year it's the same way.
call good great kept listen low people players proved saying took year
I think it's great because we proved a lot of people wrong, and I think I like that. I call it low key. We took a lot of beatings this year during the year about my team, and we just kept playing. Good thing my players don't listen to what I was saying to the media.
dumb people standing taking
He was gambling, taking a a lot of risks. You go, 'Oh no don't do it,' and 'Oh, good. People think it's going to be a dumb play but when you make an out, you got a standing ovation.
honor mom people talk
I would say I was honored. Not too many people like the president. I do. My mom will kill me, but it's an honor to talk to the president.
balls gets people problem starts throwing walking walks
His problem is when he walks people. When he starts walking people and throwing balls all over the place, he gets in trouble.
alex belong move people please republic sound states team trying united venezuela
Alex is not a hypocrite. I was just trying to say he doesn't have to please people. He doesn't have to make people from the United States or from the Dominican Republic or from Venezuela happy. When you do that, you sound like you are a hypocrite. You say, 'Hey I want to play for the United States and that's the team I belong on,' move on and that's it.
kinds people playing
That's the way people should be playing baseball, play hard. I like those kinds of games.
people
He just did what not too many people would do,
beauty cheering hotels people pushes selfish supporting team teammates
People see what he does for us on the field, but what they don't see is what he does for our team in the dugout, in the clubhouse, in the hotels and on the airplanes. The beauty of him is that he pushes his teammates to be better. He's always up cheering and supporting them. He's not a selfish player.
brian entire excited people team tied
A lot of people were excited because we tied the game. But in the meanwhile, the entire team was excited because Brian did it.
cubs fans people rivalry says side south white
I know there is a rivalry between the Cubs fans and the White Sox fans, but people have to know this is one city. On the chest, it doesn't say South Side or White Sox. It says Chicago.
atlanta ball behind bit easier enjoy everybody field game knew pitcher played quick
I always wanted to get off the field as quick as I could. It's easier for everybody and it's more fun. I played behind Maddux a little bit (in Atlanta in 1998-99) and you knew that on any pitch, the (hitter) was going to put the ball in play. You enjoy the game a little bit more when you have a pitcher like that.
target
I told them 2005 is over, and we're going to be a target to everyone in baseball.
