hype expectations firsts
I came up and was a first-round draft pick and there was a lot of hype and a lot of expectation, and I enjoyed that. Have I also seen the other side of that? Absolutely.
play hitting asks
Hitting is mostly confidence. I just go out and play and that's the best you can ask for.
thinking blue class
I don't know what to think of the money. It's kind of mind-boggling. I come from a middle-class, blue-collar family. We've never really had money.
I hit every day. I love to hit.
fun hitting watches
I've always enjoyed hitting things as hard as I can. It's fun to hit things and watch them fly.
looks uniform
He's in a different uniform but looks the same.
bit game might move
If I did a little bit of this (Saturday), that game might have been different. But you have to be able to move on.
great half ready today won
If I had done half of what I did today (Saturday), we would have won all three. It's great that we won, it's over and we have to get ready for Atlanta.
clear guys looking minds ready scoreboard
I don't think guys are looking at the scoreboard this early. We have the day off to clear our minds and get ready for Tuesday.
drastic
I don't see it as being any different, really. I don't see anything that drastic at all.
anybody asked compare reason unfair
It's unfair to compare what Howard's done to what Thome would have done, but he's been done more than anybody would have asked and he's a big reason why we're here.
base continue gets guys hopefully knows scores seems three walks
I told you guys the other day that he is the catalyst. It seems like if he gets on base three times a night, he scores three times. He knows how important he is to our team. He's been great. So hopefully he will continue to get on base and take his walks and be J-Roll.
base bit game guys knew knows situation ton tough
It's frustrating because I was in a situation a lot during the game (Saturday) with guys on base a ton of times. I made two errors. That's frustrating. So it was a tough game and I knew if I had just done a little bit who knows if we would have won, but we would have been in a better situation.
heck
It was strange. Willis pitched a heck of a game. The way things were going, it didn't look good.
