They will set a date to come here to Quincy so that our steering committee can do a presentation. We should probably hear whether we're approved or not sometime in early spring, maybe March or April. Once we do hear of the approval, we'll be going through a refining process.

They took away everything, even the foundation, and that was fine with me. The floors were buckling and there was mold all through the house. I didn't want to live in that.

The main thing is we want to provide access to all people to programs that maybe a segment of our community doesn't have access to, and we were also looking at programs that were mission-aligned with the Salvation Army.

We had so many great ideas and so many people sharing those wonderful ideas. Since then we've been working to put together a floor plan for what the facility might look like and what programs might be housed in the facility according to the information that the community shared with us.
