felt games generally good missing move moving position small steps
I think it was just generally that my footwork was really not good. I just felt uncomfortable moving around the court. I was missing the small steps to really have a good position and move good and come back in the games and to defend. So that was frustrating that I never got better.
happy improve issues returns serving timing
I think I still have some timing issues to improve to feel more comfortable, ... I was happy with the returns and serving so that was good.
bit happy serve struggled
My serve was on. She struggled a bit with her reach, but I am happy with the way I played.
definitely deserved faced lucky maybe opponent ready win
I faced an opponent who was just ready for everything I had today. She was maybe lucky in the first set to win it, but she was definitely better over the two sets. She deserved to win, but I made her play.
cheering love next time
I have just two things to say, ... Rainer (Hofmann, her husband), I love you, and to the crowd, next time try cheering for me in the first set as well.
felt five match
I felt like I had her there. Of course, if you come back from five match points, no way you are going to lose.
game stay tough
Her game is so dominant. It's very tough to stay with her.
close french good lost mary open played run
I can feel it happening. I (could) tell after I lost in the French Open to Mary Pierce. She had an unbelievable run and I played close. But close is not good enough for me. I want to get to a final.
fight focus good run second
She had a pretty good run in the second set and I really had to fight back and focus on every point,
complete player
She did everything so well. She was a complete player today, all over the court.
difficult great happy match player win
She's a great player and I'm really happy to win such a difficult match and to win overall,
ball great happy played racket start strings strung today
She played great today and from the start I was not there. I couldn't feel the ball as well as I would like to. I was not happy with the strings at all. I couldn't get the racket strung the way I wanted it.
forces huge move present pressure puts tough
She puts huge pressure on me. She is so present on the court. She really forces you back. It's tough to get the rallies going and move her around.
chance change hit powerful return speeds strong sustain tried
She made some mistakes. But when she hit the ball, it was so strong that I had no chance to sustain rallies. I tried to change speeds a bit, but her forehand return was powerful today.
