bred close crops essential grain handful refined rely wheat
We're close to losing our essential diversity. Look at our wheat crops - we rely on a handful of grain crops and plants that we've refined and bred over hundreds of years.
antarctica declaring greenpeace meat people publicly whale whaling

beauty creatures honoured inspired seals serve spirit strength
I have been honoured to serve the whales, dolphins, seals - and all the other creatures on this Earth. Their beauty, intelligence, strength, and spirit have inspired me.
fastest price sort tag tuna
Bluefin tuna is sort of like the cheetah of the ocean. It's the fastest fish. It's a warm-blooded fish. But it's got a $100,000 price tag on its head.
jimmy zeppelin
Led Zeppelin would never have reformed if he or Jimmy Page were bald.
authors call english films poets says
'Ageism,' or whatever you want to call it, is a very English phenomenon. You don't get it too much in many other cultures. And no one says it about authors or poets or filmmakers. 'Oh, they're too old to make films or write books.'
allergic art bread butter drink life reason stand
In the West, we look at art through life. Well, that's one way of living. In the Orient they look at life through art. I'm allergic to goo and rococo.

I'm a great believer in not over-thinking lyrics. You might become technically better as a songwriter, but you lose what originally made your songs great.
manager pad paper tom tv whatever wrote
I wrote 'She's a Lady' on the back of a TWA menu, flying back from London after doing Tom Jones's TV show. Jones's manager wanted me to write him a song. If I have an idea and I don't have a pad of paper, I'll write on whatever is available. What's the difference? Paper is paper.
begins eventually generally head hits itself meaning phrase toy tune until
When I'm writing, I generally toy with an idea until it manifests itself - meaning a phrase or a tune comes into my head and eventually begins to jell. When something hits me, I write it down immediately. I don't wait, or it's gone.
devout religion seems societies united
If you look within the United States, religion seems to make you a better person. Yet atheist societies do very well - better, in many ways, than devout ones.
fountain mostly written
I've always written by hand. Mostly with a fountain pen, but sometimes with a pencil - especially for corrections.
future hoping living
I'm living in the present, thinking about the past, hoping for the future.
