teacher fun disappointment
Find a good teacher that will keep the game fun. Work hard and don't be afraid to have success or disappointment. That is what golf is all about.
winning pressure
I put the most pressure on myself. I'm not normally content with what I do unless I win.
expectations
My expectations are incredibly high,
beginning best hard imagine incredibly knowing lead nervous players today
Today was incredibly exciting, ... At the beginning I was very nervous because of just knowing that I had a seven-shot lead, but it is still hard to imagine I had a seven-shot lead with the players here. They are the best players in the world.
birdie front gave hot nine ourselves played ton
We were really hot on the front nine but the back nine - we played it one over - was really frustrating because we gave ourselves a ton of birdie opportunities but couldn't convert.
attention bringing golf good great higher money people younger
We're very good friends. A lot of people misjudge her. She's younger than everyone. But if she's bringing more attention to women's golf and more money with higher purses, that's great for me.
checked driven goals rest rethink seems year
This year has been so good, ... All my goals are being checked off. So I have to go back and rethink what I want to do for the rest of the year, because I am very goal driven and it seems like everything is done now.
award checked driven goals left louise rest rethink rookie seems year
This year has been so good. We have so many tournaments left that I want to do well in, but now the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award is finalized. All my goals are being checked off. So I have to go back and rethink what I want to do for the rest of the year, because I am very goal driven and it seems like everything is done now.
birdie struggled ton
We had a ton of birdie opportunities but struggled on the back nine.
america everybody global golf national obviously played rooting sports
We are a global sport. I mean, golf is obviously played all around the world. But when you have your National Championship, of course, everybody in America is rooting for an American.
moved
We're fine. I mean, it happened. It's done, and we've moved on.
aim lead possible quickly starting tomorrow
Tomorrow it will be like everybody's starting out at zero, ... I'll aim to get the lead as big as possible as quickly as possible.
anywhere ball course demanding either golf good great hit huge natalie shots test
There is a huge difference, especially in the rough. The ball either sits up or sits down and have to hit a 58-degree wedge out. It is just one of those things. Like Natalie said, it is a great golf course and a very good test of golf. You are going to have to hit demanding shots out there. You can't just hit it anywhere and you have to be on your A game.
afraid continue learned learning lessons life time
There are so many lessons in life that can be learned through golf. I am not afraid to say that I am still learning some of them and probably will continue for some time.
