want chickens lettuce
You don't want to make a steady diet of just lettuce. You don't want to make a steady diet of fried chicken.
determine persons i-can
I can't, myself determine what offends another person.
southern magic secret
I have a lot of secret uses for sour cream, which is the magic ingredient in my mac and cheese. It's an old-timey, Southern version, and the sour cream makes it that much creamier. Oh, it's so good!
grandmother years southern
Of course, I will continue to share my favorite Southern recipes, just like my mama, grandmother and family shared with me over the years. And now, I'll be adding a little bit of a lighter touch to some of these wonderful dishes.
romantic love-is romance
Love is like smiling, it never fades and is contagious.
heart kids hard-work
I loved my own Grandparents with all my heart. I learned important lessons from them about how to treat people, how to cook and how to work.....they showered us kids with love and left the parenting to Momma and Daddy. That's the beauty of being a grandparent - the hard work belongs to someone else. I guess I never really understood the depth of their love for me until I became a grandmother myself... it is unlike any other relationship.
nice trying gadgets
I am guilty of buying way too many gadgets - way too many! And though I try to keep things nice and orderly, sometimes I get distracted and stick saucepans where the stockpots should go.
talking tacky talking-about-money
Talking about money is garish. It's tacky.
cost tongue choke
I'll keep peace at all cost, even if I choke to death on my tongue.
spiritual religious beach
I'm more spiritual than I am religious. I don't go to church; I go to the beach.
proud southerner
I am proud to be a Southerner.
way kind seasoning
Southerners have never been afraid of seasoning. It's kind of the other way around; our seasoning is afraid of us.
pie yummy people
On my show I share all these yummy, fattening recipes, but I tell people, in moderation, in moderation. You can have that little piece of pie.
funny hater laughing
I don't care what the haters and naysayers say. If they make jokes about me, I'll laugh because they'll probably be funny.
