Carole Penny Marshall is an American actress, director, and producer. In 1975, after playing several supporting roles on television, Marshall was cast as Laverne DeFazio for a guest appearance on the sitcom Happy Days. I tell stories so only the independents do that and they don't pay you that much. I'd rather do TV or an HBO movie.

I think all directors should at least take acting classes and see what an actor goes through. And I think all actors should try to direct and see what a director has to go through - like we don't do it on purpose to take three hours to light the scene. I'm not thrilled with it either but that's what it takes.
