John is talking to everybody, all the time. That's the way he handles his business. He's got a marvelous spirit.
That only makes sense to me. (Booty) feels terrific - he has no pain at all. To see John David feeling so good gives us the feeling he's going to jump out of this rehab. He wants to throw right now - he feels like he can throw right now.
John Walker's going to be in the rotation, that will make us stronger down the road,
They had good days. It's clear that John David has been in the system a long time. When you throw Mark in there and he's got to do it play after play, there's just a lot of stuff he has to catch up on. It's kind of what we thought at this point.
I don't have to make any decisions because when we started out, John David was well ahead of Mark. It couldn't happen at a better time.
John David is ready, he's as ready as a guy could be in a backup situation. I feel very fortunate we've had him in the wings.
He's going to be involved in a lot of special teams.
It was exactly the right thing to do. You want to win the game right there.
As we do every spring, we'll try to establish the high level of competitiveness, intensity and work ethic that have been the hallmark of our program. Spring football is a very important time for us to develop and capture those attributes.
That quarterback just ran all over the place. He made the difference. This is their night. Hats off to 'em.
I love Larry Bird, but I don't agree with him. I love him and respect everything about him. I learned a long time ago, and I've made this statement: Coaches don't lose their expertise and ability to make the calls.
I think it's a tremendous accomplishment. I made it clear to the guys after the fact,
He is handling it as well as you can handle it, but there is a tremendous burden for him and he is just a young pup trying to make it,
He'll be sore, but we'll be counting on him,
