best goes guy hard knows plays sad shape
He may have been in the best shape possible. Who knows what happened? It's a sad story: A guy who goes out and plays hard during the game. . . .
couple guys inside played saw several turned week wrong
We saw that play all week and just didn't play it well in the game. We had several guys that could have turned that play inside and it probably wouldn't have been a touchdown. A couple of guys played the wrong side of the blocks.
bunch deer early enthusiasm field guys instead plays run seemed team tone whoever wondering
There was no enthusiasm ... We just seemed like a bunch of guys like a deer in the headlights, a lot of guys just wondering who is going to make the plays instead of going out and making the play. That's how it was to me. Whoever is on the field first is going to set the tone, and we can't let the other team go down the field and get a long run and set the tone early in the game.
battle coaches guys half hardly man nicest played players protect sure wants
He's one of the nicest coaches I've played for. He's a man that will go to battle and protect your back. He's one of those guys who always wants to know what the players think and wants to make sure we're OK. ... You don't hardly ever get a coach who wants to know how the players feel. Half of them don't care. They just want to win.
guys hearing love might
I love hearing all the know-it-alls say that we couldn't do it. Some of those guys might need to be fired.
confused respond
We got confused a little bit. One of our linebackers should be to the right. We didn't respond very well.
gain winning
We had a lot to gain from winning that game,
chances good
Our chances went up. But they have good coaches, and they adjusted.
fluke kept people saying today
People kept saying it was a fluke that first game. I think we showed today it was no fluke.
close game saved saving super thank
We were going to get him, but Bubba saved him, so he better thank Bubba for saving him. We were close to the Gatorade cooler, but we weren't able to get him. But I think he should have been dumped. It was a big game for him. You know, getting into the playoffs. But we'll get him at the Super Bowl.
best both coach deal knows trust
We have trust in both quarterbacks. We just go with coach's decision. Coach Gibbs knows what's best for this team, and we just deal with it. We can't let that be a distraction for this team.
complement great
We've got find someone to complement Santana. Once we put it all together, there's going to be some great things here for the Redskins.
game gaps last played solid stay worry
We just have to go out there and play our game and not worry about who we are facing. We just have to be solid up front, stay in our gaps and do all the little things, tackling. All those things are pretty big. We played him pretty well last time.
calls kinds leave officials
But that's how it is in this league. You can't leave it up to the officials to make those kinds of calls because they're human, too. They're going to make mistakes. The official thought he got in, so he got in. We've just got to make up for it when we go back.
