felt guys implies playing upsetting
I wouldn't even characterize it as benching. That kind of implies he was doing something that was upsetting me. He wasn't playing well. I felt like there were other guys who were playing better.
against error good margin small team
Obviously, we had a very small margin for error against a team of Illinois' caliber. They showed us how good they are.
obviously
Obviously we'd like to be winning, but we're not right now. We've got to keep working; there's some things we can do.
accomplish beat clearly coming game humility illinois ourselves remind
There's humility all over our program. We've been through a lot coming back from the Illinois game getting beat like we did. We don't need to remind ourselves of that every day, but that's clearly in the back of their minds. And these guys, they're hungry. They want to accomplish something.
brutally capable good honest past relative respond week
I've been pretty brutally honest with him this past week about the way I think he's been playing, especially relative to what he's capable of doing. It's good to see him respond the way he did.
character climb difficult holes locker matter might room seen teams turning
No matter how difficult it might be, there's a lot of character in that locker room. I've seen teams climb out of holes and there's no one in that locker room that is turning their back.
felt game living loss painful
As painful as this loss is and as much as you think, 'Hey, this is a game that we felt we had won,' we can't be living in yesterday. We've got to go forward.
against error large margin
Our margin for error is not really large for any game. And against these guys, it is even smaller.
bit breaking good happy lift marshall played reason since
I was really happy to see Marshall play as aggressively as he did on the glass. I thought that was a big lift for us, and that's the one reason he scored, too. We've got to have better play from him. It's good to see him kind of breaking through a little bit since he hasn't played as well as of late.
I was not as hands-on as I think I need to be.
dirt played rich
We played like a team's that's rich and we're poor, dirt poor.
arguably basketball best bruce college confidence couple deep great guys job last run team
In our profession, Bruce Weber is one of the best guys around. He's done a great job of molding their team. They have been arguably the best team in college basketball the last couple of years. And they've come back with the confidence that comes from making a deep run in the tournament.
coaching hard tells until
I'm coaching my team, so I'm going to keep doing that until someone tells me not to, keep working as hard as I can.
half handle second small took tough
In the second half Tucker took over the game. They went small with him and he was awfully tough for us to handle on the block.
