above definitely double eight feet good grabbed job screen sent shooter shooting switched
They set a double screen and I sent him high. I switched with Shawn and I grabbed Lewis. Shawn did a good job of contesting the shot. We didn't want the shooter to necessarily be Allen, but you definitely want them shooting from eight feet above the 3-point line.
minutes offense seven shoot time worry
You know that your time is going to come. It's an offense where you shoot it and if you miss, you won't have to worry about going seven minutes before you shoot it again.
floor good high knocked nice percentage playing running shoot understand
Its always nice to shoot a high percentage but I think we have to understand why we were able to shoot a high percentage - our floor spacing was awesome, we were running the floor and really playing unselfish. You're not going to shoot that well every night, we got to understand why we knocked them down, and that's a good thing to take away from the game.
finish knock quality rush shoot
My philosophy's going to be if I can make them quality, I don't have to finish the racks. I don't like to rush my shot, so I'm going to try to knock down the ones that I can shoot in 60 seconds.
coming court excuse fast figure flying jump opposed problem run shape shoot taking
That's never an excuse because that's what we are. We'll run into shape as the preseason continues. For a lot of us who shoot a lot of jump shots, it's different when you're flying up and down the court as fast as we are as opposed to coming down and taking a second. It'll take some adjustments but it wasn't a problem (Friday). We'll figure it out.
stay
At that point, I've got to know who they were going to and just stay connected.
defines game games wants win
Sometimes in games, there's a play that kind of defines who wants to win the game more.
bogged guard guys hard helps tempo transition
That tempo helps us. We don't get bogged down and it's hard to guard guys when you're in transition all night.
good ground pulled pushing saw took
He was barreling, barreling and started pushing me so I just pulled him down with me. It's a good thing the ref saw him pushing me first because I just took him to the ground so he wouldn't get a rebound.
involved until
I hadn't been involved in too many like this until I got here.
credit emotions somebody thrived
I thrived on not getting any kind of credit so to speak. For somebody to give it to you, you don't really know how to react. That's the way it is. My emotions are mixed.
dallas emotions teams
Dallas and us are two of the better teams in the West. There's always some emotion.
animals team wounded
I don't have a whole lot to say about this one. That was a team that was hungry. . . . Sometimes, the wounded animals are the most dangerous.
bait full guy head last minute step taking
You see a guy and kind of bait him into taking that drive. Then at the last minute you step in there and they already have a full head of steam.
