baseball jobs ready realize regular
We want to come here and win, but they also realize our jobs are to get ready for the regular season.
boat
We've been in the same boat for a while. We just have to keep winning.
until waiting
I would like to play with him, but I don't know when that will be. Sure, I've thought about it, but not a lot. I'm waiting until it happens.
feels jersey putting usa
I had butterflies. There's something about putting that USA jersey on. It just feels different.
best guess nights sitting telling
I guess the best part of it is he hasn't changed. We were sitting around two nights ago telling stories, and it's like we're right back in school.
expected expecting few good halves hit home last noticeable runs second
I had no idea how many I had, ... That's a lot of hits. The last few years I had better second halves than first halves. I was not expecting to hit as many home runs as I have, but I expected to have a good second half. It's more noticeable because I'm in a new league.
ball hit knocks luck though wind
I don't know how that ball went out, ... Usually the wind knocks it down to right field. It's probably luck. I usually hit one of those streaks every year, even though I don't hit a lot of homers.
early expect regard second
I didn't expect to have as many homers, ... but I've always done better in the second half. I don't regard myself as a home-run hitter. I'm more of a line-drive hitter. It's too early to make a judgment.
bag leave runner seen
In hindsight, having seen the replays, the runner did not leave the bag too soon.
aggressive attitude ball balls center free goes reckless rein tries
In center field, you have free rein out there -- you have priority. He has that no-fear attitude. The ball goes up, and he's gone, going after balls with reckless abandon. He's aggressive and tries to get anything he can.
break game intensity legs load nine people playing
I do have playing-time concerns. But they'll try to break up the game load so people aren't playing nine innings. The intensity will be up, and I'd like to have my legs in a little better shape.
great shot stays win
If everyone stays healthy, we've got a great shot to be there and win the division.
field functional injury rather
I'd rather play right now, but I don't think our field can take it for injury purposes and functional purposes. It's a big puddle.
hard help matter team tough work
It's tough to put into words. You work hard to help the team win. It's always encouraging when you get hits, no matter what they look like.
