confidence deal great lost
I never lost my confidence, ... We still have always had a great deal of confidence in him.
bitter nine pitch somewhere
I'm bitter that out of nine games, I'm pretty much a spectator, ... If I can't pitch here, then let me pitch somewhere else.
dugout ground guys hits needed
I come in and get a ground ball, get a popup, get us back in the dugout and the big guys come through, ... It's the way it should be. We battled and got the hits when we needed them.
ballgame losing possibly took winning
I took us from possibly winning the ballgame to losing it.
albert except team
Not only has he made the team, except for Albert and Carpenter, I think Nunez is our team MVP,
home
I thought we should have made the play at home plate.
blew control game guy hit lost matt morris takes thrown tried umpires
I think they lost control of the game early. Holliday was hit on purpose. But Eli's wasn't on purpose, and right then and there they blew the call. They shouldn't have thrown Matt Morris out right there. It wasn't intentional. We hit their guy the other day, they hit our guy. It's over with. The umpires tried to take control of the game and they blew it by tossing Matt Morris right there, and that takes away from the game.
albert jimmy money pay walk
Eckstein got a big hit, Jimmy got a big walk and they pay Albert the money they pay him to do what he did.
came games guys less pitchers starting sudden took until won
Guys got banged up, and all of a sudden the starting pitchers took off. We've won games 2-1. We've more or less said to the offense, 'We're going to pitch until we get healthy.' Meanwhile, every guy who came up has contributed.
ball ballgame chance fortunate ground pitches quality screwed strike tie
I get strike one, a ground ball back to me, and I screwed up, ... I was just fortunate enough that I was able to regroup, make some quality pitches after that to keep it a tie ballgame and give us a chance to win.
The thing for us is to get out of this four-hour mess, ... and get back to our ballpark.
