I play football, and most football players are camera shy. We just want to be left alone; we just want to stick to what we do.
The more money you get, the bigger target you become. That's true. It's sad but it's true that you have to be aware of every person that comes to you with the next greatest deal. You just have to look at every single person with a fine lens. That's the way my life is going to be from here on out.
This is my calling, this is why I was put on this earth-to make a difference in people's lives.
Pressure to me now has become almost part of my life. It doesn't really affect me anymore. People talk about me being under pressure or having pressure of having to come in and be this great player that everyone expects me to be right away. It doesn't really faze me. It's become second nature now. It's almost like it would be weird not to have it.
I try to focus on practice. This is work time. This is where we work, this is our office. I try not to let it distract me too much.
My life is parallel to a horse race. They have blinders on to keep them from being distracted in the race and keep them focused on winning the race. That's kind of like my life. Focus on the goal, not the things coming at me from the side.
I feel like it's God's plan for me to play football and make a difference in people's lives.
We're in state of shock. It's tough, but at the same time we have nothing to hang our heads about.
We're going to do everything we can to bring a championship to New Orleans.
We're here for you and we're going to have fun.
Whatever happens in this game, it won't have any effect on me. Obviously it will just (affect) who gets the first pick in the NFL draft. ... Like I said from Day 1, I won't be worried about it until after the season.
We feel like if we go out there and dominate and play like we know how, then the rest should take care of itself. Every call we make, we feel like we'll take it the distance.
We pride ourselves on being able to make those kinds of plays. We were surprised they came up with the stop there.
When this is all said and done, everybody will see at the end of the day that we've done nothing, absolutely nothing wrong.
