kids looking slug
They only have 10 kids on their team. It could be us looking in the mirror. We're going to slug it out.
asked kids
Our kids were patient, just like I asked them to be.
last offensive
You (may) think the last play is the game. I think there was a little spurt of turnovers on the offensive end that got us.
ahead challenge energy excited gym knew next offense
The first half, (we) showed energy and knew why you were in the gym and excited about the challenge that was ahead of us. In the next 10 minutes, it was turnover city. The offense never got cooking.
control game kids seen
I've never seen two kids control a game so much in my life.
court ran throw
That's what we should have done, come down the court and throw it off their legs. Every inbounds play that we ran worked.
chip team
If they didn't chip away and chip away, I would have thought a different team showed up.
bit bought felt good storm weathered
It bought us a little bit of time. When we weathered the storm in the first half, I felt good about that.
anyone court home shot somebody
I don't know if on somebody else's home court anyone has ever shot that many. We fouled them.
gone previous ride
You just have to ride it out with some people. In previous years I would have gone like this, and I would have gone like that real quick.
credit
We were really out of sync. You have to give credit to their defense.
coached grade school seen since team walks
We had so many walks. I haven't seen that many walks since I coached a grade school team when I started coaching.
certain losing tired
You get tired of losing at certain places. That's all part of maturity.
deep dig ourselves
We just dig ourselves too deep a hole.
