I think it definitely helped that we had played them twice before. Our girls were very comfortable playing them.

I think we did a good job on the foul line and spread it out enough. We started Megan (along with other 'smalls,' Nunez and Vega) to see if we could get quickness. We felt like if we could pressure their guards with three smaller players, we'd be quicker and the advantage would be ours.

This being my first year, I was blessed to have a team like this. They are the greatest girls in the world. They worked together and made life pleasurable for me in my first year coaching here. In my 27 years of coaching, this was my most enjoyable year.

Reno's guard play was too tough for us. They denied our entry passes and just played with a lot more energy than we did.

We played the No. 1 seed (in the High Desert League) and we were the No. 2 seed (in the Sierra League). We weren't able to knock off No. 1 because they played like No. 1. They are well coached, they have talent, and they have played together as a team for quite a while. They showed that they are a true team.

We started out slow this year (1-3) but we knew down the road that we could improve and turn it around. It's been a good year for us.

We've got to go back to the gym right away (today). We didn't practice our offensive sets enough. That was a coaching error. We worked more on our defense than our offense and it showed.
