concentration control either game lose needed quarter respond slip third
We needed to take it to them in the third quarter and not lose our concentration. I wasn't going to let them let it go. Either we respond and take control of the game or (the Nuggets) were going to do it. I just didn't want to let it slip away.
finish realize
We had a lot of chances, but we just didn't finish. You've got to finish strong, and we just didn't do it. We were right there again, and we have to realize we have to finish. You've got to keep playing.
attitude came good great position themselves
We came back with a good attitude today. They've put themselves in a position to have a great trip.
double guys played playing seven
We played seven and all seven had double figures. We've been playing better and better offensively. We're getting more used to each other and our young guys are playing better.
ball hard moved quarter solid start third time
We moved the ball and they had a hard time guarding us. From the start of the third quarter we really jumped on them and maintained. This was just a solid win.
brown corner forced good hard help hit kobe played points shot
Tonight, Kobe hit the big shot in the corner which he does all the time. And Kwame Brown got too many second-chance points and tip-ins because we were forced to help on guys. I think we played hard but not good enough.
five game hoping success tonight winning won
Tonight was a really big game for us after winning in Cleveland. We have not had very much success on the road. We've been in every game but we haven't won. Now we've won two and we're hoping to keep it going on the five game trip.
days extra fatigue finished played season team three
We finished the season strong. We had three days off before the playoffs, so we had an extra day. It wasn't fatigue tonight, it was the Spurs. It is going to be a battle. I think that we are a better team than we played today.
accustomed anybody beat good since team
When you look at the team since we made the trade, we were in games, but we just couldn't get over the hump. The team's really getting accustomed to what we've got to do to win. We think we can beat anybody at this point. ... There's expectations for us now, and that's a good thing. When there's no expectations, it's no fun. It's drudgery.
basketball coach good talk
We always talk about basketball stuff, ... She'll talk to me about the practice, what she observed. She's very knowledgeable. She's been very good as a coach up there. They really do play hard, do the right thing.
ourselves playoff position time
We've put ourselves in playoff position now, we're right there. There are expectations, and this is good, but there's no time to relax.
bad
When you have a wide-open look, bad things happen. That's the way it goes.
ready waited
We waited too long to get into this game. In the first half, we just never got anything going. I don't know why we didn't come ready to play in this game.
ahead catch open points stayed
We had open shots, but couldn't make them. They stayed ahead about 15 points and we could never catch up.
