cinderella coached people shock tournament
We were very much a Cinderella team, and we were able to shock a lot of people in that tournament because we were so well coached and prepared.
epic sloppy
We were sloppy at times offensively. Our turnovers have to come down. Twenty-nine is an epic number.
hoping types
We were hoping it would feel better (Sunday). But you never know with those types of injuries.
allowed group night played quarter shoot tonight undoing won
We have the same group that played well and won the other night. We're not going to make excuses. Our undoing tonight was the first quarter when we allowed them to shoot over 77 percent. That got them going early.
best committed good guys hope practices seemed
We had one of the best practices we've had in the 21/2 years I've been here. Guys really seemed committed to getting better. Little things like that are good signs. You hope it translates to the games, but you never know.
chances scores string together
We had some chances down the stretch, but we couldn't string together consecutive scores and stops. That was the story when all is said and done.
bank basketball fate hard left minutes pierce position types
We didn't play a full, hard 48 minutes of basketball and we left too much to chance. You have those types of let-ups and tempt fate with a Pierce bank shot. We're not in a position to do that.
created easiest good hung looks shots
We hung in, competed, and had chances. We created a lot of good looks for ourselves, but weren't able to make some of the easiest shots we had on the whole trip.
dig game half holes ourselves playing
We got ourselves in some holes in the first half and haven't been able to dig out of them. They were playing (at the outset) their game better than we were playing ours.
felt guys hat meant played playoffs second
We felt the like the playoffs are our second chance, and guys played like it really meant something to them. My hat is off to them.
bad blame call drive ended good great guy hoped job open pocket position putting shot space switching
We hoped he was going to be open and have a pocket of space to get an open shot or drive the ball. Bosh did a great job of switching out defensively. I have to take the blame for that. That was a bad call putting a guy in a position that ended up not being a good position.
chance execution game gave hard inches ourselves played problems
We played hard for the most part, but that has to be a constant. We gave ourselves a chance to win, but had execution problems down the stretch. It's a game of inches for us right now and we have to be better.
consistent gave hard mistakes ourselves played stretch
We played hard for the most part. We have to do that on a consistent basis. We gave ourselves a chance, but we had some mistakes down the stretch with execution.
dig dug hole rest trying undoing
We dug a hole and we were trying to dig our way out (of) the hole the rest of the game. It's frustrating because we did have some opportunities early. Unfortunately our undoing was the first quarter.
