chance dig dug few game hole ourselves rest scoring second spent stop together trying wizards
We dug ourselves into a hole and spent the rest of the game trying to dig ourselves out. We managed to give ourselves a chance in the second half, but the Wizards were able to put together a few scoring runs, and we couldn't stop them.
dig dug hole rest trying undoing
We dug a hole and we were trying to dig our way out (of) the hole the rest of the game. It's frustrating because we did have some opportunities early. Unfortunately our undoing was the first quarter.
moved trying win
We've moved on. It's unfortunate. But we're just trying to win without him.
condition decision half heavy ice minutes position practice trying
We're trying to condition him into a position where he can play with consistency. My decision was to play him heavy minutes the first half and then ice him down, have him for practice tomorrow.
course hang heads minutes ourselves stronger time trying
We're trying to hang in. We probably could have done a lot more things over the course of 48 minutes to put ourselves in a stronger position, but we didn't. We don't have much time to hang our heads about this. We've got another one tomorrow.
affects clear deal distort happen juices league player talking thinking trying
We're talking about it, we're trying to deal with it. I think we'll get there. It's just important for any player in this league not to let his competitive juices distort clear thinking and have something happen that affects the team.
coming difficult experience figure great last love nba team toughest trying virginia ways
Last year, we went through one of the most difficult years that a team could go through in NBA history. Even in the toughest times, I love coming in and trying to figure out ways to win. When you are able to feel that way about what you are doing, it is a great blessing. My experience at Virginia had a lot to do with being able to get where I am now.
carter difference played
I thought we played hard. I thought we rebounded well. (Jason) Kidd and (Vince) Carter are difference makers.
brings leader together unselfish
I thought that was a very unselfish leader thing to do. That's the kind of thing that brings you together as a team.
areas good period sure tough
I thought Tinsley did well considering he hasn't played. I wanted to make sure we didn't put him out there for too long a period of time. He did some good things, but it's going to be tough in some areas because the conditioning isn't going to be the way you want it to be. It was good to see him back.
beginning eight lead second undoing
I think we hade eight turnovers in the third. The eight turnovers, and what they lead to, was our undoing in the beginning of the second half. They were the aggressor. We were on our heels.
defense good hard schemes throw
I think we could throw him out there tonight. He'd go out there and he'd have a good feel for the game. It would be hard for him on defense with the schemes we run.
ronnie team
I thought Ronnie struggled. At times he went away from what we were doing as a team and that disappointed me.
finding gave great guys hanging ourselves played stepped
I thought our guys showed a lot guts, hanging and finding a way to claw back in the game. Jermaine O'Neal was great and we had a lot of other guys who stepped up and played big. We had a chance, we gave ourselves a chance.
