along ice injury next start therapy week
They said everything was on track, that the injury was what we thought it was right along. I'll take a week off, relax, and when next week comes along I'll start therapy again. Hopefully, I'll be on the ice and back at it in two weeks.
came feeling low lucky net shot
You don't see much net with Luongo and, lucky enough, I went for the low blocker shot and it went in. It would have been a pretty down feeling if they came back and won.
attention bit bracket great media mentioned names personally team
Definitely, to be mentioned in the same bracket as those names is a pretty big deal. It's a bit different here in Columbus, we don't have as much media. So to have that media attention is a great thing for me personally but also a great thing for the team and the organization as well.
dave fit goal good guy healthy hit jump king played player role star team third throw top tough using
They didn't throw me on one of the top lines, but they didn't keep me out as a healthy scratch, either. I think Dave King and Doug were using me well, and I think it was good development for me. I couldn't think of a better team to come to for a young guy than Columbus. You aren't just going to jump in and be a star player at 18. It's tough to be a star in the NHL. I just fit in and played my role on the third line, and just kind of hit and chipped in with a goal here or there when I could.
build chemistry gain momentum next playing start trying
We're playing for something. We're trying to build a lot of momentum right now and gain some chemistry for the start of next season.
best good knew
We knew we wouldn't have our best stuff. Fortunately we had a pretty good goaltender. If he's not an All-Star, I don't know who is.
change coming good lucky net pay puck saw tried worked
I just went to the net and saw the puck coming and tried to make it change directions. Lucky enough, it worked out. You go to the net, and good things are going to pay off.
happy ready room
I?m happy to be back in the room with the guys. I?m ready to get it going here again.
wear
I didn't even wear it. I couldn't get it on. It was way too tight. I didn't bother.
stay
It's part of the game, it's an injury. I've got to stay positive.
bad caught coming freak good skate
It was kind of a freak incident. It was a good hit, it just kind of caught my skate in a bad rut. Obviously, I don't like coming back here now.
difficult good lost people realize seem touch tough
It?s a tough job. People don?t realize how difficult that is. I was good at it when I was 12. I seem to have lost my touch a little bit.
change nobody playing shake
It was frustrating. They wanted to shake things up and try different things to change it up a bit. Obviously, nobody was really playing with any chemistry.
knee
The knee I don?t really think about. That ankle?s still there.
