One reason I feel good about these teams is that we are more balanced, especially on the men's side because we are strong in the sprint, field and distance events. We are also balanced on the women's side. We hope that will be a positive for us this year.

She is going down there to compete. This is where she expects to be. You like to have a kid with that kind of attitude on your team.

This is someone the other girls see every day at practice. It makes nationals more tangible for everyone else on the team.
