One should strictly avoid stupid people and if one is forced to stay in their company, one should not emulate them, on the contrary one should strive to bring a change in them.

Good people avoid the company of bad people.
benefit exchange learned meet mutual people pleased scholars scope
Scholars are pleased to meet people who are learned because there is a scope for mutual benefit by exchange of views.
god humanity hurdles people preach rewards virtues
They preach humanity the virtues of virtuosity and religiousness. God rewards such people by removing all the hurdles from their path.
action deeds good indulge learned people
The learned people indulge in good action and deeds for their own pleasure.
