(The Boston church) has been through a lot. This is yet another turning point with the archbishop coming in, and now the elevation to cardinal is, I think, another blessing from the pope, and he has his eyes on Boston.

It is a surprise to the bishop; it was a surprise to us and we would like to celebrate it with him.

It is, not to use a cliche, but, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We feel that in our hearts and our heads. We are all extremely excited.
