adam franchise kicks left message overall past proud remembered thank true
I left a message with Adam just to thank him for all of his contributions during the past 10 years. I was proud of the way he represented the franchise ... He is a true champion. Adam will always be remembered for his many game-winning kicks and overall accomplishments as a Patriot.
crisis minded needs people secondary
It's complicated, and there are some parochially minded people we may have to convince, but I just think our needs have to be made secondary to this. Every crisis is an opportunity, if managed properly.
people
I think it's great. How else can you have 32 people feel part of the process?
money spend
I think when you spend up to $10 million, that's real money,
agree basically committee criminal decade decisions expand gone growing hard kids move relate team
It's criminal that a decade has gone by and all these young kids are growing up without a team to relate to. We're going to have to make some hard decisions as a league. Are we going to expand or move a team there? But this committee should basically be the votes, when we agree on something, that we can get it done.
facing feels future input issues selection
That makes it inclusive. With the issues we're facing in the future, it's very important that everyone feels they have input into the selection of the commissioner.
nfl way opinion
I just didn't like the way we were, in my opinion, being unfairly attacked. I just decided to do what was right for our family.
mistake thinking nfl
The greatest decisions I've made in my life are by instinct. I remember when I hired Bill I had a lot of people telling me it was a mistake. But he and I had established a rapport in '96 when he coached the secondary. You need a coach that understands economics, that understands the impact of the salary cap and how to make those difficult decisions that allow you to sustain success over the long term. I don't think there's anyone better than Bill at doing that.
thinking should-have nfl
To be fair to Pete, I had just come off a very difficult owner relationship with my then head coach and I was looking for a different style. So I didn't give Pete all the power he should have had. I don't think there's any exact formula for how it's done. It's really what fits each individual system.
people life-is enough
Life is about collecting good people around you. You can’t have enough good people.
teaching self study
Self-study, in a sense of learning by yourself without anybody teaching you anything, has an enormous value.
team play-hard nfl
We play by the rules, we play hard and we prepare hard. The work ethic of our team and preparation is like no other in my opinion and we try to make our fans in America proud.
best both deal field imperative obligation particular revenue sharing sides sure team
Right now, everyone is jockeying to get the best deal they can for their own particular cause. It's imperative that everyone can field a competitive team. If any team has a hardship, we have to make sure revenue sharing fixes it. We have an obligation to do that. In the end, we have to come up with something that both sides can live with.
