They made a lot of tactical errors in the race. They weren't in a good position for the break, but I'm optimistic for the rest of their season.

It has the reputation as a fast track. It's a top-of-the-line place and arguably the best in the Northeast. It's also nice to have on a cold or rainy day, just for practice.

She did great. Especially considering that she fell twice and still won. She's a competitor.

I was expecting our athletes to do their best and be competitive.
couple good hopefully ladies previous races running tired
We had a couple of young ladies running a little tired from previous races in the day. But we'll see, hopefully we can still get into nationals. The ladies have been doing a good job.
surprised
You can never really say you're surprised though.
meet trying
We didn't even know the meet was going to be scored when we first went. So we weren't really trying to win.
