best coming deep defense easy great knocking might playing point scratched talented
At this point in the year, I'm really in a groove. I'm coming out playing great defense and knocking down easy shots. We're so talented and so deep that we don't know if that's the best we can play. We might have just scratched the surface.
couple happy love
We've never been like this. The guys, we're all happy with each other, and we love being around each other, to come to practice. I couldn't say that about us a couple of years ago.
hurtful played reflecting
I was reflecting on my whole career, reflecting on how we played so bad. It's hurtful not to be going home. I'll go home, but not the way I wanted to.
came feeling great hard heart looked looking took worked
No one really looked at me. I took it to heart. I worked hard in the gym. I came to Memphis, and I progressed. It's a great feeling looking back and saying, 'You all didn't want me. But now I'm in Memphis, and we're doing good.
pressure score
There's so much pressure on them to score that they should be co-players of the year.
continue fun hope last transition year
The transition from last year has been a real fun time. We hope we can continue this season.
against bit coaching team
I've never been on a team like this one before. If I were coaching against our team, I'd be kind of a little bit scared.
calm came great knew
Early, they came out with great intensity, and they really put us in the hole. I knew things would calm down, and we would come back like we always do.
college dream improve left senior win year
This is a dream senior year for any college player. I thought about the NBA, but I wanted to win and I wanted to improve on where I left off as a junior.
defense lead throughout
That's what we've been concentrating on throughout our other victories: defense. Once we got the defense clicking, the lead just extended.
behind game took
That game's completely behind us. What we took from that game is that we're not invincible.
ball couple easy needed threw
We needed easy buckets and he got them. He threw the ball to me on a couple dunks and got us started. That's how we got the rout.
bring runs team
That's what I bring to the team - spurts, runs like that.
court drive dunk helps hole open people style
I like the open court and I like to drive to the hole and dunk on people. This style of play really helps me do that.
