found nfl question reviewing ruling soon supposed whether
As I have found out, we were supposed to let the NFL know as soon as we found out. We did let the NFL know, but there is some question about whether it was soon enough or not. They are reviewing the incident, and they will make a ruling on it at some point.
energetic game guys offensive played since tries yesterday
He's into the game, and he's always been into the game since the very first game. He's up, and he's energetic and he tries to get the guys around him involved. I think the way he played yesterday got the guys around him involved, particularly the offensive line.
breaths foot holding kept open races scoring starting win
All day, we were holding our breaths on their kickoffs, ... He's pretty fast. We were able to ... keep him from scoring (return) touchdowns, but it was difficult. He kept getting in the open and starting foot races and you're not going to win many foot races with that guy.
feather football head legacy maybe shape win winning
I'm not satisfied, by any shape of the imagination. In this business, you have to win football games. If I have a legacy in this game, I'd like it to be said, 'He was a winning head football coach.' Then maybe I can put a feather in my cap.
nfl respectful
He never said anything and he never complained, ... I'm very respectful of what he has done for the NFL and for the Giants.
headed illusions progress team
I had no illusions about where we would be. As long as we make progress, then I feel that we're headed in the right direction. I think that's one of the things that we have to do with this team - we have to get it going in the right direction.
correlate success
He's energized. He's having fun. Hopefully, that can correlate to success on the field.
attempting ball chance definitely expect field goals good inside iron problems side work
If he's attempting 55-yard field goals, that's a different thing because the percentages are not on your side there. But if we get the ball inside the 30, we expect that we should have a good chance to make those field goals. Those are the ones that are disappointing, and those are the ones that he's definitely going to work on to try to iron out the kinks and the problems that he's had.
along common continue everybody together toward work worked
I think that in any organization working toward a common goal, everybody has to get along and work toward that goal. There are different personalities in our organization. Everybody doesn't have to like everybody, but everybody has to work toward a goal. We've worked together and will continue to work together.
help hope
I would hope that he's experienced enough to help us when he comes back.
coach expect
I'm not going to come out and say how many I think we can win, but I expect us to win, and I want to win. We're going to coach to win, and we're going to try to get them to play to win. That's why we're in this game.
communication field good playing teammates
If we can get him on the field and get him some playing time, I think that would be good. It'd be good just to get him out there in pads, get him used to his teammates and the communication that's involved.
kid smart step today tribute
He's a smart kid with some quickness, and it's a tribute that he was able to step in today and get it done.
avoided bad came good jeff job reasonably
I thought Jeff came in and did a reasonably good job for his team. He avoided the bad plays.
