Last year was our first winning record, and now we are over the hump. Now we can start to compete for a region championship. Now people are going to have to take us seriously. We are trying to get something established here, trying to get things going. Hopefully, we can build a tradition here, and this will only be the beginning.

Michelle is probably the best high school player I've seen in 30 years. It wasn't one of our best games. It wasn't one of our worst, but you've got to play nearly perfect to beat Mountain View. We played hard, but we just couldn't get it done.

I was just hoping to weather the storm. But the planets must be aligned somewhere. When you win and one of your leading scorers doesn't score a point, you just thank your lucky stars.
