The new generation of gangs is evolving in a bad way. There is a lot of unplanned, impulsive violence. They are more dangerous and have no respect at all for law enforcement. They are different thugs than we are used to dealing with.

Kids see it as the glamorous life, they see this as a way out. Until we come up with a way to fix the family, it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

These guys actually have some degree of sophistication as far as practicing their trade. They are becoming proficient in the use of their weapons.
