cost effort energy felt few games good last level looked second spent talking time tonight weeks year
We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.
defense exception game half hurt lapse loss march mistakes offense opportunity ourselves plains playing second south team
We didn't have that five-minute lapse of making mistakes to give the other team the opportunity to win. With the exception of the second half of the South Plains game (a 71-62 loss on March 2), I thought we've been playing hard. We just had those possessions on offense and defense where we hurt ourselves and we didn't do that (on Monday).
easy hit obviously people second several transition
It was obviously real balanced. We had several people who had opportunities to hit some easy shots. We got a lot of transition buckets in the second half.
cater catering customer general groups include jimmy occasions prepare southern various wants
We cater so many occasions and so many groups here and we're appreciative of that. We pretty much can prepare anything a customer wants in our catering services, which our general manager, Jimmy Medley, handles most of. We do various dishes, which include anything from southern to Italian.
difficult front good handle offensive sure
I think they're a really good offensive team. We have to make things difficult for them offensively and we also have to make sure we handle the front end of their press.
ability agility clean cutting great helped hit improved last rarely strong
Jon's a really strong kid, but what has helped him the most is his agility has improved from last year. He has great cutting ability and defenses rarely get a clean hit on him.
awesome foul michelle played tough
Michelle was awesome again. It is tough when she is in foul trouble, but I thought we played well for most of the night.
full line offensive start
We have our full offensive line back from the start of the season.
honor honored men normally twist veterans women year
We've honored veterans before, and it's normally the men who get honored, but this year we thought we'd give it a twist and honor the women. You women need to be honored.
hard looking standing thorough
Without standing back, looking at the big picture, doing a thorough investigation, it's hard to say where it started.
budget consumers costs efficiency energy given inadequate income low numbers programs
The president's budget numbers for the low income energy and energy efficiency programs are inadequate given the energy costs confronting consumers today.
hoping keeping nice season
We have a nice season going and we're hoping to keeping going this week.
conference determine everybody meant ourselves outcome regional tournament understand
We have to understand that what we did in preseason meant nothing in conference and what we did in conference is not going to determine the outcome of this game. Everybody is even keel. We've got to play ourselves into the regional tournament and anything can happen.
improve playing recognize trying week win
We recognize this is a big game, but what is more important to us right now is just playing well and playing physical. Those two things are more important than the outcome. We're just trying to improve from week to week. That's how you win championships.
