I'm anxious to move closer to my family and parents. An opportunity like the one in Algona doesn't come around very often, and I'm very pleased to be offered the opportunity to serve the Algona community.

Algona faces the same problem as everyone else - declining enrollment. We have to look at how to keep, maintain - and expand - programs and quality while looking at a declining budget. Everyone is struggling with that problem.

We knew we could not be all things to all people, but with the sharing agreement we were able to do more and increase opportunities for students to learn. It was very beneficial for the students and school district.
