Besides being one of my best friends, she's been a really good friend to everyone on this team. She stayed on the team, she brings the water to every game and she's at every practice. We respect her a lot for being here. I think anyone else would have a tough time dealing with (the injury), but she did.

Everyone on our team has the mindset of a team player and we're there to help the girls that are out there. As a captain, I think I have a big role, even when I'm not on the court. We're just doing the small things that help the team.

I think it was a little bit of revenge built up from last season. We had a little fire in us and we wanted to settle things this year and get off on a better foot, so that was a big part of it.
