This is the kids' place. ... When you're in the military, you don't always get to do things you'd like to do. If we did, it would be short term because you'd have to pick up and move. It's about giving back and doing some of the things we might have wanted to do in our professional lives. It's incredibly exciting. Every day is exciting with this program.

I could start to see maybe in my late 20s and early 30s that whenever the Navy was over with, I wanted to come live here. And Carol being a sailor also took to that notion.
