hates healthy injured player scratch sitting watching whether
Every player hates sitting out and watching whether they're injured or a healthy scratch especially when things are not going so smooth,
compared environment huge joe loud maybe playoff sound
It's loud here, but nothing compared to the playoff environment in Edmonton. That's a whole new level. Maybe the sound doesn't' funnel down here (at Joe Louis) but it's huge in Edmonton.
deep puck turned
I take the onus on that one. I didn't get the puck in deep enough, turned it over and then it was in our net.
draining sucks
It's a draining feeling. It sucks losing. We want to make the playoffs.
assertive came good mistakes playoff start
Mistakes. I thought we were really assertive at the start of the game. We came out strong. We did everything but score. Kipper made some good saves. Then we started making mistakes. This is playoff hockey. You can't have that right now.
corner front grabbed hit midway
He grabbed it midway from the corner on out and gloved it down in front of him and hit it in. That's what I was saying.
contribute couple goals good great guy hard works zone
The great thing about him is that he's so good in his own zone and can contribute at the other end. It's great to see a guy that works so hard get a couple of big goals for us.
coming great
It's a great feeling, especially the coming from behind.
critique question
You never critique a win, but there is no question we can get better. It was a scrambling game.
cherished moment playing
I've cherished every moment of playing for my country, but there's been one thing missing.
high players step
We have a lot of young players that can step up. The expectations are high on them.
blame difference full hockey late lead smart turned
We have to play a full 60 minutes. Once we got the lead that late in the game, you have to do the smart things. I will take the blame on that one -- I did not get it deep, turned it over and it was in the net. Those are the things that make a difference in hockey games.
easier easy hope instinct killer last nine talk
We don't make it easy on ourselves. We talk about killer instinct. Why can't we make it easier on ourselves?I don't know what it is. We have to hope we have it for these last nine games.
build effective level matter
We know how effective they are on the road. This is a different level now and it's a matter of maintaining focus. That's something we have to build on at home.
