closing defending game great high job maine opened scores stops
I thought we opened the game up really defending at a high level. Maine did a great job of closing the gap, but we made some stops and some scores down the stretch.
course game good receiver side team
When you're going into a game and another team has another receiver who's great, of course you want to do that. I think it's a good motivator. If he's on the other side making plays, it makes you want to make plays, too.
close games learned people
We've learned that people want to get as close to the Games as possible.
college competing final game goal practicing ultimate
Our ultimate goal is to be in the final game of the Women's College World Series. It comes down to us competing and practicing every day with that mentality.
game great
I think it would be a great game to go watch. It would be something to watch.
control game involved looking money people problem stop sure trying
We can't control it and we're not going to stop it. The problem is when there is big money involved there is always going to be people looking for an angle. What we're trying to do, like the NCAA, is make sure the game is on the up and up.
ball control game offense played tempo whatever
Our mind-set as an offense is to keep the ball away and try to control the clock. If we have the ball, we feel we can control the game and the game can be played at whatever tempo we want it to be played at.
games played
(Lockett) played solid. It was one of her better games of the season.
behind focus game next
We need to concentrate and focus on next week. We need to put this game behind us and go 9-0 from here on out.
advantage bad execute games great guys open players red returning team zone
We were sporadic because we have one returning starter. It's tough. We've got a lot of guys working hard. When you open up with a great team you have to execute every down. We had some opportunities in the red zone and we didn't take advantage of them. Our players made some bad decisions. That's part of it. That's what the first games are about.
certainly comfort few game last level score stop won
Unfortunately we couldn't make a stop or get a score in the last few minutes. We should have won the game but we didn't. There was certainly a comfort level that shouldn't have been there.
game goals offensive rebounds
We set goals going into the game of what we wanted to do, and offensive rebounds was one of them.
against doubt game improving mind step took
We're getting better every game out. We took a step back against Iowa, but other than that I feel like we've been improving pretty much every game. And if we get in the NIT, there's no doubt in my mind that we'll be winning.
believing efforts exactly expected football games good guys handful including individual kids might opportunity players potential realize seven start team until wins
Until our kids start believing in the potential they have, that's exactly what it will be - just potential, ... We're getting some good individual efforts from a handful of guys but we're not getting it from a lot of others. Everyone, including us coaches, expected big things from this bunch. But if the players don't realize the opportunity they have, we might end up being just another better-than-average Hilliard football team that wins seven games or so.
