Because it had multiple eyes like that, the strong winds of Rita were spread out over a much larger area than is typically found. Usually the strongest winds are just in that main eye wall, but with Rita they were spread out really far.

We want an accurate representation of what happened. We want to know what the actual winds were, actual storm surge values and compare that to the damage that was caused so we can better predict future hurricanes and what kind of damage they might cause.
