against cheering confident energy mentality people percent saw saying team tonight tougher won
When you have 20,000 people cheering against you, you find that energy somewhere, somehow. I think tonight you saw that mentality and mindset. The tougher team won tonight. I feel 100 percent confident in saying that.
confident percent saying team tougher won
The tougher team won (yesterday), and I feel 100 percent confident saying that.
coming game giving jersey matter teams tennessee
Teams come in and see Tennessee on the jersey and fold. The game is over before it even starts. It's a matter of coming out and giving it everything you've got, and that's what we did.
although best definitely noise played position record talented team year
This is the best team I've played on. Mississippi State, although their record may not show it, they're a very talented team but still a team we should beat. I think this year we're definitely in position to make some noise at this tournament.
best coach players saw team tells tonight
Coach always tells us it's not necessarily the team with the best players but the best team that wins. I think tonight you saw that. We don't have McDonald's All-Americans. We don't have All-Americans.
against composure focus knew needed team
We knew they were talented. We didn't come out with the focus and composure we needed against a team like that.
against arena beat cheering contrast felt home imagine people potential program second teams tennessee time upset
(Sunday) was amazing. We upset LSU, but in contrast to that victory, there were about 20,000 people in the arena (Sunday) essentially cheering against you. ... It was my first time (beating Tennessee) and only the second time in program history. So you can imagine what that felt like for all of us. We beat two potential (NCAA) No.1 seeds, and we beat Tennessee on their home floor. That's huge. Not a lot of teams can say that.
against beat came clearly confidence easy fired flat gotten learned paid supposed teams ugly wins
It's easy to get fired up for the big-time teams where you're clearly an underdog. We came out flat against teams we were supposed to beat and paid for it. I think we've gotten confidence from our big wins and learned from our ugly losses.
boxing focus improve
Rebounding is still something we need to focus on and improve on. More than anything, it's just that continual focus of boxing out.
doubt finish goal mind rest run table though watching
I think realistically our goal is to finish .500 (in the conference). At the same moment, I don't think there's a doubt in anyone's mind we can run the table in the rest of these games. Even though we play LSU and Tennessee, just watching film on them, they're very beatable.
closing matter people win
We were in the game. It was just a matter of closing it out. Twenty-thousand people out there didn't want us to win the game.
beat definitely focused game home knew potential tennessee
We beat two potential No. 1 seeds, and beat Tennessee on their home floor. That's huge. That was something we definitely focused on. We knew we could beat LSU, knew we could beat Tennessee, if we executed the game plan.
die
We'll be coming. We live and die by our press.
stepped worry
When I stepped up there, I just told myself that I had to relax. I had to put myself in a different place and just not even worry about the score, not worry about anything.
