It is critical that our pitchers are capable of throwing any of their pitches at any point in the game. Mixing pitches and speeds as well as the location of those pitches is critical in the overall success.

All of our pitchers have been terrific lately.

Their ballpark is a very, very hitter-friendly place. It's a little bowl set way down there, and the wind always seems to be blowing out.

Payton has that unorthodox delivery that he throws with and we don't worry about match ups when he's out there. When you have a pitcher like that throwing strikes then we'll take our chances on being able to get out of it.

It's a process. He was very rushed at the start of the game and it just got away from him. He had thrown fairly well his first two outings, though, and you really just have to try to get a gauge on him.
guy hot leave nice since streak trying
We're going to be trying to win, since we really feel like we have a nice hot streak going here. But we're not going to leave any one guy out there for too long.
