Scott Niedermayeris a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman and current Special Assignment Coach of the Anaheim Ducks. He played 18 seasons and over 1,000 games in the National Hockey Leaguefor the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks. I was trying to get it up in the corner. How it traveled into the net, I can't tell you.
If this will put a smile for a minute that will be good. That's tough work they're doing, long days. So we owe them a lot of thanks for the work that they do.
Obviously, on the ice I feel very comfortable with him. I didn't know we'd complement each other when he got here, but after playing with him for a while I think we fit together pretty well.
It'll be interesting to see how it is (today). It's tight already.
He's ready to shoot, he knows what Thornton is out there to do and he knows what to do.
We're playing some good teams and the games are close, but no wins. It's not fun that's for sure. This is a good test, a good challenge.
When the game's going to be a lot of special teams, you have to be strong on both of them. Tonight, we scored on our player play, but we allowed them (to score). It's a balance. You have to be good on both of them.
