Pierson's been a guy who has stepped into so many roles for us. Whether it's been nickel, dime or safety, he's given us a lot of versatility on the field. Pierson does a lot of the things on the field and comes prepared to the games every weekend.
Other guys are playing a little bit better than him. I think you earn your playing time in practice, and Matt Bush (who made his first start on Friday) has had a really good two weeks of practice and had a good game tonight.
After the East Moline game, I really believe these guys know they can find a way to win. They never believe they're out of it.
You're never going to win them all, but our guys have the belief they're going to execute and win some games down the stretch. Hopefully that carries over to the rest of the season.
It's not the Sean Taylor show, it's the Redskins' show. It was the Redskins' defense, the Redskins' offense and the Redskins' special teams. There are a lot of guys out there playing their best football right now, that's all I can tell you.
I think whenever you lose three in a row, you always worry. We need to play with some confidence. If we get a couple shots to fall, it's amazing what happens to kids' confidence when the ball starts going in. I think we have good shooters and the ball will start going back in for us.
Just gutsy, I thought. To play on guts, I mean he was hurting and he probably will be hurting (today). I'm awfully proud that he was a Blue Devil tonight.
Man, that's why we've got judges, we've got trials, we've got people that make decisions for what goes on in court. I'm not worried about anything.
Why was I not here? It was offseason, ... I could have returned his phone calls, but it was offseason.
That was the key play of the game. That sort of put it away.
For us to win we needed to (capitalize). We needed to have maximum possessions.
He just has the guts. We've talked all along that he's such a good 15-foot shooter that he just has confidence that the ball is going in. It was a big one.
(Friday night) Galesburg made shots, so we weren't able to get it off the rim and transition it. When we can get it off the rim and in transition, we're a much better basketball team.
Catfish - I call him Catfish - is always around the ball. Yeah, that was great.
