Shannon Rempelis a Canadian speed skater. An Olympic silver medalist from the 2006 Winter Olympics in the team pursuit. World Champion in the team pursuit from 2007 World Single Distance Championships, SLC, UT. Rempel also participated in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, in the 500m, and 1000m distances. certainly decent focused last nervous post race slow solid technical today training worried
I was pretty worried going in after some slow training times last week. The times today were solid but it certainly wasn't my best. I was nervous for the first race because I wanted to post a decent time. I focused well on technical things and didn't panic.
attached medal people recognize win
Even going to the Olympics, not a lot of people even know who you are. But when you win a medal and you have that attached to your name, a lot of people recognize you.

I think over the next couple of years, we'll be flying under the radar. (We'll be) kind of forgotten about until just before the next Olympics. I've got to focus on what I need to do in those four years.
