second
They get it to each other very well. Second in assists in the country.
defended deserved fans frustrated good half knew liked players second shots
Here is what I liked -- we rebounded and defended our butts off the whole game. We didn't make shots in the first half and that frustrated us. I wasn't concerned. I knew we'd come back in the second half. I just told our players that our (14,734) fans deserved a good performance.
certainly second team
I really don?t know what Tubby told them at halftime. But that certainly was a different team in the second half.
difficult energy high second sure team
Auburn is a difficult team to play because they have so many different defenses. We wanted to make sure we had a high energy level. I thought we responded pretty well in the second half.
aggressive forcing great half luxury nice second
I like the way he played. In the second half he was forcing an aggressive tempo. He did a nice job. He's a great luxury to have.
came clock five great players seconds shot six time top
The thing that got them over the top was Rondo's penetration. Time after time, where the shot clock was winding down with five or six seconds to go, he came up with the play. That's what great players do.
coaches concern conference east felt few four magic nine number seems since teams three winning wins
It seems like three or four years ago, winning nine was the plateau. But a few years ago, it seems like the Big East had a few teams go 9-7 and didn't get in. Since then, there's been a little concern in the SEC about what the number is. Coaches have always felt like 20 wins is a magic number and nine or 10 conference wins, you should feel safe. But at eight, you're still insecure.
early game home protecting win
It's early in the season. It's a very important game. I don't think the season's over if you don't win it. But it's a very important game to get, and protecting home is so important.
hit last seems steven
It's going to be a nagging thing. Steven had it some last year, too. He just seems to always get hit on the same place on his arm, like a magnet.
cbs excited game great kids opportunity playing televised
Going to Rupp and playing in a nationally televised game on CBS is a great opportunity for us. I know our kids are real excited about it.
defense free good hard job road three win
Hard to win on the road when it's 33-to-9 at the line. Hard to win when you think you do a good job on defense and they end up with three free throws.
duke game kid lottery minutes national playing plays single talking team time tv uniform
That kid, if his team is in first place or on national TV all the time -- or if he's playing with a Duke uniform on -- they're talking about this kid being a lottery pick. That kid does it all. He plays for 40 minutes every single game and doesn't take possessions off. That's special.
conference game georgia good leading rebound running stops team
Georgia is the leading team in the SEC, in conference play, in steals. We have to be smart. We need to rebound the ball, get a good running game going and get stops on defense.
capable defending disrupt energy good guards moving stepping sure
I know their guards are good players. They are very capable of stepping up and making things happen. If we're focused, really defending and moving our feet, we can disrupt them. But we have to make sure we play at that energy level.
