Stanisław Dziwiszis a Polish prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He became Archbishop of Kraków in 2005, and was created a cardinal in 2006. He was a long-time and influential aide to Pope John Paul II, a friend of Pope Benedict XVI, and an ardent supporter of John Paul's eventual beatification. Twenty-seven years ago I travelled with the then Archbishop of Krakow Cardinal Karol Wojtyla to Rome (where he was elected Pope). I am convinced he will continue to lead me by the hand from on high.
