chasing far game liverpool picked superior team trying
We were just chasing the game and trying to do something about it. Liverpool picked us off at will...They were a far, far superior team on the night.

We've got four games left and we aren't going to give up the ghost. We have given ourselves a fighting chance with the way we performed in the previous three games and the lads gave everything today as well.
four games left
We've got four games left and we aren't going to give up the ghost.
absolute games guys lose media territory word
You guys in the media use this word 'pressure'. You lose two games and you are under pressure. It's absolute nonsense. Laughable. But that's the territory we're in.
convinced europe forward game gone man relish team tough united whatever win
They have just gone out of Europe so I am convinced they will want to try and win this competition, that's for sure. Whatever team they put out, when Man United come to town, it is going to be a tough, tough game but one that we will relish and we will look forward to the challenge.
applied convinced game half honest hour laws problem rather red referee rules shown spectacle
The problem we have is that we are too honest in the Premiership. The rules are applied to the extreme. We all know the referee was right under the laws to show the red card, but I'm convinced he would rather have shown just yellow. It killed the game as a spectacle because in the first half hour I thought we were fractionally the better side.
fair five forward four game goals looked minutes threat time
In the first 45 minutes we looked a threat every time we went forward and to be fair we could have been four or five goals up and it could have been game over at half-time,
game played
I don't know if I could have played the game today.
attitude attractive basics change gave hard improve months past philosophy players rely restore sports tried trying
We had to restore the attitude of being hard to beat. Over the past 18 months we've tried to change that philosophy because you try to improve by getting in better players and trying to play more open, attractive football. We had to go back to basics and to do that I had to rely on players who have been with me a long time. I always know what I'm going to get off them and they gave everything they could.
played pleased
I thought he responded like a man. There were no frills about it, but he played his part and I was pleased for him and with his performance.
carry cunningham drink few good kenny playing position similar smoke training
Kenny Cunningham is in a similar position to Roy. He's good enough to carry on playing a few seasons. He doesn't drink or smoke and he's the first in to training every morning.
backing bunch fans given huge personally stuck thank wonderful
I would like to thank the fans personally for the backing they've given us this season. They're a wonderful bunch and even in times of huge disappointment, they stuck right with it.
conditions corn near realized running seeing spring summer turn
We were near pandemonium conditions in the spring and summer when we realized that, yes, we were running out of corn at the time. (But) now, we're seeing a 180-degree turn from that.
