They played 39 minutes and 45 seconds of zone defense and controlled the tempo. We never got into the type of game we like to play. I think tonight was a great example of what can happen when we don't have a constant 3-point shooting threat.

I think we were mentally prepared for this game. After losing the other night at Florida Memorial, we identified some areas that needed work, and we worked them--especially on the defensive end. Looks like it paid off well tonight.

Defense has been our bread and butter this season. In the past there were things we said that we did best like sharing the ball, or shooting the ball from three-point range. But we play great team defense.

I'm most proud of him knocking down six of seven free throws. He had been struggling on the line. But Michael's our All-American and he showed it tonight.
adjustment ben challenged key
We challenged Ben to make his contributions on defense; he was to go at (No.) 52 (Burr). Ben was a big part of that. Making that adjustment was probably the key to the game.
kept playing touches tried
We tried to get more touches for Pyle in the post. He kept playing out on the perimeter in the first half.
investing time
We think we are way better shooters than that. So we've been investing a lot more time on that in practice.
