I was really critical of the changes here. But after seeing the course play like it did, especially the first two days when it was fast and dry, I might have been a little premature.

Well, there is no easy side out here. You do have a few chances to hit some shorter irons into the greens, but it's by no means easy. All in all I played really well. I played well on the front nine and made some putts, and I played well on the back nine and just didn't make as many putts.

A beginner gets so excited when he hits the ball in the air or maybe hits a nice bunker shot. A player who has won major championships doesn't get that excited about those shots anymore. It takes a lot more to excite you. The closer you get to perfection, the more difficult it becomes. That's what draws me to golf. It's such a challenge.
