basketball excited starting timing
She's starting to get it back. It's not only the injury, it's being out of basketball for a year. It's a timing issue. But she's going to be really good, and we're excited about her.
ability arguably best hard physical player shoot step strength
She's really hard to guard. She's arguably the best player in the SEC because of her versatility, her physical strength and her ability to step out and shoot the basketball.
daunting facing freshmen georgia kids looking poster starting work
She's just starting to get back into the loop. And I think sometimes the SEC can be a little daunting for all freshmen when you're looking at kids that you've had their poster up on your wall. When you're facing a Georgia or Tennessee, we need to work her in and let her get a feel for the game.
basketball days great hope ncaa team
You're going to have days when you don't have a great game. We've got a great basketball team and I hope the NCAA will take a look at that.
against best certainly showing tennessee
This is certainly the best showing and the best play we've had against Tennessee in a long time.
defensive minutes three
In the first three minutes we had some defensive breaks.
advance basketball far finish focus formula half mean ncaa top tournament winning
If you can finish in the top half of the SEC ... and get into the tournament then you'll usually advance pretty far into it. Our focus has been that ... we know that there is a formula to getting to the NCAA tournament, and that doesn't mean winning every basketball game.
against almost chess defensive instead match mentality playing solid teams zone
In the SEC, we're playing against teams that are very solid defensively. It's almost like a defensive chess match out there. I'd like to see us play with a little more patience. When we see a zone defense, we have the mentality to set-up offensively instead of attack. We need to play with more of a sense of urgency.
believed win
Honestly, I believed we could win this game.
coming excited experience happy hard kids march opportunity players position rewarded valuable worked
I'm excited for our kids because they are going to get to experience post-season basketball. They have worked hard for the opportunity to play in March and I am happy to see them in a position to be rewarded for that. With as many players as we have coming back, this is valuable experience.
bubble chance committee good last ncaa
I like being the bubble team. If the NCAA committee will look at our last 10 games, I think we have a very good chance to get in.
days good hard hope ncaa
I hope the NCAA will take a good, hard look at our team. You are going to have days when you do not have good games. We had one of those today.
confidence schedule teams tough weather
Not many teams have to come out and play No. 1 and No. 3 and then play on the road. We have confidence in this team. They've got to weather the tough part of this schedule mentally.
afraid fearless shoot
Lauren's not afraid to shoot the ball. She's a fearless player, and that's what we need right now.
