capable definitely knew teams tired warm watched
They have been up and down, but they definitely showed what they are capable of. Teams get tired of getting beat. I knew when I watched them warm up that they were serious.
leader
I have said to Candice, 'You are the leader of our team. That's just the way it is. Brooke is, too.
felt good great happy job played successful
I'm happy we were successful and I felt like we got great contributions from different people. We rebounded well and we played good defense, but we need to do a better job offensively.
certain definitely fabulous forward games hoping steps
She's definitely getting more comfortable. There are certain games with Ros, where's she's two steps forward and one back. She'll have a fabulous game and you're hoping it's always going to be like that, but she's young.
athletic bring changed credit demanding director enjoys game great happy hard hope job saying time transition walk wonderful work
The athletic director job is so demanding and I think it's changed a lot over his 15 years, but he's done a great job. You have to bring your 'A' game to work every day, and I give him credit for saying it's time for a change. It's hard to walk away from Stanford. This is a wonderful place to be. I'm happy for him that he's able to transition into something he really enjoys doing. I hope I can do that.
anyone maybe mix none plan played
I think we'll mix it up. We've got a Plan A, a Plan B and a Plan C. Maybe none of them are going to work. We will try to do a lot of different things. She is so different. She is not like anyone we have played against.
cannot freshman played position posted
I cannot think of any other freshman who has played that position and posted those kind of numbers.
change coming felt glad great people second
With the change in the second half, I really felt like we went with people who give us great energy. I'm just glad we have that kind of people coming off the bench.
huge proud win
This was a huge win for us. I?m really proud of our team.
far playing
We need her to keep playing like that if we are going to go far in this tournament.
ahead ball coaching country good love player roll team
When you have a big-time player like Candice Wiggins, you just can roll the ball out there and something good will happen. I love coaching Candice. There's not another player in the country I want on this team ahead of her.
ball knock passes shot shots smith thank
We have shot the ball very well, and I think we have (center) Brooke Smith to thank for that because she passes the ball so well. But, obviously, you have to be able to knock the shots down.
excited healthy seed three
We weren't going to do better than a three seed anyway. The most important thing is we're healthy and excited to be playing.
except gave good needed played statistics stop
We weren't sloppy. We played well down the stretch. We needed a stop or two that we didn't get. I thought we gave a good effort. Basically, the statistics were the same except for one.
